If you’re not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund or exchange — no questions asked.
To qualify for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:
- The item must be unworn, unwashed, and unused, with all original tags attached.
- The item must be in its original packaging.
- The item must be free from stains, odors, alterations, or damage caused after delivery.
- Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) must be provided.
How to Start a Return
Returning an item with OuterHides is simple:
- Contact us at info@outerhides.com within 30 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number, the item(s) you’d like to return, and the reason for the return.
- Our support team will respond within 24–48 hours with return instructions and a return address.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging to prevent damage during transit.
- Ship the item back to the address provided. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as OuterHides is not responsible for packages lost in transit back to us.
- Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of the approval status of your refund.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to confirm receipt. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved, your refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 5–10 business days.
- Please note that depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refunded amount to officially post to your account.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong item shipped, manufacturing defect).
Exchanges
We’re happy to offer exchanges for a different size or color, subject to availability. To request an exchange, follow the same process as a return and let us know in your email that you’d like an exchange rather than a refund. If the item you’d like is unavailable, we’ll process a full refund instead.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
We carefully inspect every jacket before it ships, but if you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@outerhides.com with photos of the issue. We will cover the cost of return shipping and send a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Items marked as Final Sale or Clearance at the time of purchase.
- Custom-made or personalized items (e.g., custom patches, embroidery, or made-to-measure jackets).
- Gift cards.
- Items returned after the 30-day window has passed.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company — it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
- Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
- If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at info@outerhides.com.
International Returns
We offer free international shipping on all orders, and the same 30-day return policy applies to customers in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and across Europe. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. Please note that any customs duties or import taxes paid on the original order are non-refundable.
